2. Guest Responsibility and Conduct: Guests are responsible for their own behaviour and must ensure that their actions do not damage the property, disturb other guests, or disrupt the surrounding environment. Any damage caused by guests may result in additional charges.
3. Health & Safety in Rural Countryside Setting: Guests acknowledge that the retreat centre is located in a natural, rural environment with uneven surfaces, and potentially slippery or wet areas. We advise wearing appropriate footwear and taking extra care when moving around the grounds. Marsh End Cottage Retreat Centre is not liable for injuries resulting from normal outdoor conditions.
4. Personal Safety: Guests are responsible for their own safety. Marsh End Cottage Retreat Centre is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occur during the stay. It is recommended that guests have personal travel insurance.
5. Children and Vulnerable Guests: Parents and guardians are fully responsible for the safety of children and vulnerable guests in their care. Due to the natural environment, supervision is required, particularly around water features, fire pits, or other potentially hazardous areas.
6. Property and Belongings: Marsh End Cottage Retreat Centre accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to guest property. All personal belongings are the responsibility of the guests, and items left behind will only be returned upon request and at the guest’s expense.
7. Check-In and Check-Out Times: Guests must adhere to the check-in and check-out times stated in their booking confirmation. Late check-outs without prior arrangement may incur additional charges.
8. No Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the premises. Smoking outdoors is only allowed in designated areas, and all cigarette waste must be disposed of responsibly. Violation of this policy may result in a cleaning fee.
9. Pet Policy: Pets are only allowed with prior approval and must be supervised at all times to avoid disturbances. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after pets and ensuring they do not harm other guests or property.
10. Fire Safety: Guests must comply with all fire safety guidelines, including using designated fire pits or BBQ areas only and ensuring fires are completely extinguished before leaving the area.

12. Noise Policy: To maintain a peaceful environment, guests must keep noise to a minimum between 10 pm and 8 am. Excessive noise and disruptive behaviour may result in termination of stay without refund.
13. Cancellation and Refunds: Cancellations made within the cancellation period stated on the booking confirmation are eligible for a refund (excluding any non-refundable deposits). Cancellations outside this period or no-shows will be charged the full booking amount.
14. Termination of Stay: Marsh End Cottage Retreat Centre reserves the right to terminate a stay immediately if guests violate these Terms & Conditions or engage in disruptive, illegal, or unsafe behaviour.
15. Force Majeure: Marsh End Cottage Retreat Centre is not responsible for events beyond its control that may affect the guest experience, including extreme weather, natural disasters, or government restrictions. No refunds will be given in such cases, but we will do our best to assist with rebooking.
16. Modification of Terms: Marsh End Cottage Retreat Centre reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
